Job Description

The Marketing and Communications Manager / Director is responsible for orchestrating the company’s marketing and lead generation activities in North America with the goal of driving demand and keeping the pipeline of our U.S. sales team filled with high quality prospects. This individual will serve as an active member of the global marketing team across the U.S., Europe and Asia and help to create and execute the most effective programs and initiatives for increasing brand visibility and establishing abas' footprint in the market.

Job Responsibilities

Management

  • Effectively lead a dispersed team of marketing professionals to achieve excellence
  • Report on North American marketing metrics to the North American and global management teams
  • Manage North American marketing budget

Content Marketing

  • Manage content marketing strategy for North America across a wide variety of formats and distribution channels
  • Manage publishing calendar for frequent and consistent posts
  • Instruct and lead a team of external writers to provide quality, SEO-focused content
  • Edit all content for quality, accuracy and strategic relevance
  • Analyze conversion rates and improve organic and paid content

Product Marketing

  • Experienced in developing collateral for new products
  • Support product management with market research
  • Develop ideas for branding and positioning new products, including software and services.

Market Communication and Branding

  • Understand the core of abas’ brand and provide input on how to evolve it
  • Write product and press announcements; familiar with the most efficient distribution channels

Lead Gen and sales support

  • Manage and analyze all lead generation programs
  • Monitor the effectiveness of all lead gen activities
  • Maximize quality and volume of leads while staying within allotted budget 
  • Create assets for sales team including sales presentations and materials

Web and Digital

  • Manage the company’s web presence for North America, including defining and executing strategy for SEO/visibility and web conversions.
  • Make data-driven decisions, help define the most relevant and important metrics to track
  • Work on global team to advance all aspects of the global website, including defining requirements for new development and working to resolve issues.
  • Edit and add website content

Job Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or related
  • 5+ years of management experience required, experience managing remote employees a plus
  • 8+ years of applicable marketing experience required
  • Solid understanding of business software; ERP is an asset
  • Comfortable in a matrix organization – this position reports to the Head of US operations with dotted line reporting to the global CMO
  • Excellent writing and editing skills
  • Web and print design expertise a plus
  • Ability to present concepts in new ways and from new perspectives
  • Well-versed in using SEO and social media strategies
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally
  • Team player
  • Highly organized and analytical
  • Strong self-discipline
  • Excellent communicator

Tools & Technologies

  • Knowledge of Hubspot, Drupal, Adobe Creative Suite, PowerPoint
